"Many people wish that we could understand each other better. But this wish is often a difficult, if not an impossible hope. We often don't even really understand ourselves very well. We, these enigmatic beings, fascinate me every day over and over again. That is why human figures are a huge part of my work. With my art, I want to try to understand people better and at the same time, I want to give the viewers the opportunity to look into themselves. I hope my art can help you to ask yourself what is really important, which interests bring you joy and would like to be shared with pleasure. Things which we want or wish for. Essential desires which connect us with other people around us and may open up new perspectives. I belive, that we need a new kind of lightness and a devotedly concentration in our life. My work process begins with the observation of how bodies and forms get in contact. I reflect why and how those contacts affect me. I try to abstract these feelings with colours and lines. Then I work from the outside to the inside. My sartingpoint is to draw colourful contoures which act like membranes. Within these lines, I paint the essential core with fluid colours and flowing abstract shapes. This core describes a world of emotions which begins to expand. The core develops further, far beyond paper and the frame".
